Gail M. Towne, an associate with Lennon, Miller, O'Connor, & Bartosiewicz, PLC, born in Coldwater, MI in 1975 and raised in Kalamazoo, MI, graduating from Davenport University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1998.
Ms. Towne has worked almost exclusively in the area of family law for over ten years throughout the state of Michigan. She now practices primarily in Western Michigan, with a continued commitment to helping individuals and families traverse through the family courts or facilitate private settlements related to family law issues. Specifically, her practice focuses on domestic relations law including divorce, paternity, child custody, child support, and other family law matters. She is an experienced litigator, but is also committed to alternative dispute resolution, particularly collaborative law, as a preferred means to resolving family disputes.
Committed to the belief that family law cases should be decided by and between the families, Ms. Towne is a member of the Collaborative Law Institute of Michigan and the International Academy of Collaborative Practitioners as well as a founding member of the Collaborative Practitioners of Greater Kalamazoo, whose website can be found at www.collabdivkzoo.com.
Additionally, Ms. Towne is a member of the State Bar of Michigan's Probate and Estate Planning Section and Family Law Section, where she serves on the Amicus Curiae Committee; and the Kalamazoo County Bar Association; She writes and speaks frequently on family law matters, including works for publications such as Lawyer’s Weekly, the Institute of Continuing Legal Education, and the Family Law Section Journal, to name a few.
